What is Steer program in Citi?

My manager informed me that I will be under Steer program where HR will try to connect with me in detail. Anyone has any idea?

@mb I don't think Citi wants us to rejoin, there's a weird trend I am seeing, I am on my notice period and applied couple of Citi position, 2 of them came back for initial screening which had 3 question did you work for Citi ,when,and when can you join,and upon replying none of them came back,I even email one of the recruiter and understood that they are looking for internal 'working' employee

How is this program not available to other employees who are high performing and impacted? Granted all of this makes me very hesitant to rejoin Citi if the opportunity presents itself but why is this only for Transformation? If anything they were given more notice to prepare while others are completely blindsided by these layoffs.

@ba this is accurate but just find a job outside Citi as it’s going to be a continual bloodbath at Citi for at least the next 2 years. Most will be better off elsewhere. Take the rif money and run.

Unfortunately Performance Ratings did not have an impact on who has been impacted, personally know people who received exceed expectations and still got impacted. It is sad to see as yes CO is coming to an end but there is still a lot of work that needs to be done. -Tampa Location

@OP we (NYC, CO Transformation) received STEER as well but they told you there is a time period like 2+ months? our useless gaslighting expert managers told us nothing more than we need to find our own way out.

Our team is a consent order team and they said as the Consent Order work is done they will put you into Steer Program for 2months or something, I’m not sure for exactly how many months. And within that if you get another role than ok or else you have to leave Citi. So, don’t know how does this Steer program exactly work to move to another team for BAU area.
