Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Corrective Action

After getting IM in end of year review, boss put in workday a corrective action that will last couple of months .

Added 2 projects to meet a set deadline time that is impossible.

Is this a prelude to being fired for performance, or just mean you are in the list for layoff.

If fired, can you still get unemployment

If fired with documented boss personally does not like you and make life difficult for you, any possible legal action .

atp, find a new job. if the warning signs are there get ahead of it, i wish i had. corrective action is just an excuse for you to be on the list to be laid off. my id--t of a manager didn't even document mine on workday nor even set up a pip, so i never knew anything about me and nor was he involved with people i was psuedo managed by because he was not manager of a project i was assigned to.

Formal PIPs are no longer required. 2 cycles below meets = terminated now

What about when there seemed to be an issue with something and manager tells someone a corrective action is coming but looking in workday nothing is ever documented?

You are on the way out, but there's something you can do.
Think of anything that manager said or did was wrong, file an er complaint.
Er Side with manager. But it is an official record. And the protected activity. Look up protective activity with ai.
It will help your lawyer.
If you think it is impossible To Complete The project, Document valid reasons in workday. Mentioned it in er as well.
From now on, Document everything. Chat Email. Print them If possible, You are preparing evidence For your lawyer.
Examine your status, See if you are protected class, Look up in ai. See if you are treated differently because of your status. That's called Discrimination. If both you and other people did the same thing but only you get punishment. Again, document everything.
Once you are terminated due to Valid reasons, You can still apply for unemployment benefits.
And find a lawyer file for a wrongful termination case.

Sorry, but they are coming for you. The mantra is to document and fire, avoid severance.

Sadly you are done. You can document all you want but it won’t help. Get ready for life post the S Show. All you can do.

Given that you’re currently on an official performance plan termination probably is the next step. You may want to consider speaking with your healthcare provider to see if you qualify for short-term disability (assuming this situation is taking a toll on your mental health). Wells Fargo’s STD benefits will provide income support for up to 25 weeks which will allow you to pursue new job opportunities (and take a well deserved break).

How do you know if a corrective action was put unto workday or just documented? My manager documented something (bogus) in workday, but nothing says it's a corrective action.

You're on a PIP and they are aiming to fire you. This is done so they can avoid severance. Try your best, but document everything. If they slip up and fire you or appear to fire you for an illegal reason you could have a case.

If that's formal CA, you will be fired after the end date. If that's informal CA, you will get a formal one then be fired. You can still get your unemployment, company policy is not to challenge it.
