Has anyone else been asked by their manager to write up everything they do, plus what each person on their team is responsible for?

They tried to pull the wool over our eyes by claiming we were adopting Zero Based Budgeting and need the information to do that. They think you are stupid.

The consultants that came in a several years ago advised leadership to collect this information company wide to find opportunities to make cuts.

This happened to me during the transition when I was working at CommScope. When they decided to sell the Home Networks business, they requested detailed activity breakdowns, workload percentages by business unit, and ownership of responsibilities. Shortly after, the team was split, I was transferred to Vantiva. At the time, it seemed like a positive move, but a few months later, Vantiva let us go.

Vantiva did the same, they gathered detailed information, and then used it to determine that our roles were no longer needed. Well...... they were needed but not working from home, they opened the same roles in Europe on site. We trained those folks and I still receive calls help with issues.

Minimize heads count (expense) and post a 'good' profitable picture for future buyers. Good luck guys.

Chuck is pushing for less overhead cost to maximize EBITDA. A lot can happen in 2026 with the sell off of remainco. The buyer would want to eliminate any overlapping roles.
