Approvals take weeks, crashes are daily, and we're all just clicking through junk pretending everything's fine. It’s embarrassing and exhausting.

@OP there are nearly 7800 applications at UHG ... Which one would you be speaking about?
Corporate specifically refuses to allocate funds and resources to do development on many of the platforms. They call it "keep the lights on", which limits what can be done to fix things that break in the applications. At the same time, they're forcing AI down our throats, and demanding that we be innovative - even tying it to our performance goals. They can't have both.
Controlling managers, will close to new ideas forever. And greedy board that cares about the money they can make, to that to that the outsourcing to countries that have no clue how the American Healthcare industry works and the terms of contracts that UHC needs to adhere to maintain their end of the contract.
Gonna be different on every team and whether you're a downstream or upsteam application. Not every team takes weeks for approvals.
But tbf to your question, leadership doesn't want to actually invest in solving the problems we have here, and are just interested in proof of concepts that can be used to elevate their position by taking credit over it.
