Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Optum broke my health

I'm out right now because of this place. The stress got to me. Pressure every day, more tasks piling on, never knowing if I'll be laid off. I already deal with depression and anxiety and this job pushed me past what I could handle. My blood pressure hit over 170. Chest pains started. Other physical stuff I won't list. It's real. If you've never felt it, I'm glad for you. Just be kind to those of us who have.

@ry I am so sorry for your loss. I read in some of the other posts that this site is monitored, I hope so!! I know the company could care less but at least the public knows what is really happening here!

One of my (young) friends just passed away from a heart attack. They worked for this company who laid them off. My friend later came back to this company. Now my friend is gone. Coincidence? Maybe. Tomorrow is not promised to ANYONE. Do not waste any more time than necessary suffering for a company that continues to look for ways to replace you. You don't know how much time you have left. Look out for number one. I guarantee this company is doing the same.

This job is ki-ling me. I cry daily, I have panic attacks and anxiety, I fear but want the layoff. Please God get me of this train!

Save yourself and take care of you. No job - especially this one - is worth your life, well-being and overall happiness. I got out as soon as I could and the only regret I have is that I didn't do it sooner. I genuinely feel for you and my co-workers who are still suffering through the actions of this company. This company doesn't care about their customers or employees. I saw evidence of this regularly and it was and still is shameful. Go find a company you can be proud to work for because this one ain't it for sure.

@ed the job market su-ks that’s why. 2020-2022 you could get 12 interviews in a week now it’s like the 2009-2012 job market

It happened to me too. No job is worth it. There are a lot of great opportunities out there, even at Optum. Just find what makes sense for you and go for it!
