@a9 So it's just speculation.

They don't necessarily need to book the entire expense in Q4. They can have WARN period last beyond May and book expenses proportionately in Q4 and Q1 next FY.

@a7 WARN notices have to be filed by March 31, for Q4 expenses. So as it's mass layoffs, count will be more... So they need buffer at least a week.... They will be starting next week for advantage...

So its good to not go in deep sleep.
Also, if you are a USC or GC, then your layoff chances are 75% higher than non-H1B
