There's no longer a point in asking questions about whether layoffs are coming. They are. The answer will always be yes. The only question now is when. Is it in a month or two, or maybe three, but never longer than that. It's not how things should be, but it is what it is.

Lay offs and new hires are how we reshape the company. We take headcount from over there, because we need it over here . Like the ocean moving sand on the beach reshapes the coast . That’s a process not going anywhere

My goodness... name a single company that has not every laid anyone off! Yes, layoffs are a way of life... sometimes they happen once or twice a year and sometimes it is many years in between layoffs. As econs grow and shrink so does the workforce! Nobody has a job for life except the US Supreme Court.
It's been like that... cut the company in half over the past 10 years.
