@s1 I actually had similar thoughts. Maybe she is showcasing to the company a little of what we can expect to experience in the future when company employees are funneled into ICHRA plans and have to forego recommended medical procedures and treatments due to lack of provider coverage, fear of medical bankruptcy from unreasonably high deductible and OOP ICHRA expenses etc. She appears to present her decision to forego surgical treatment as though it was a thoughtful, fun exercise in going against medical advice rather than the gutwrenching experience that it actually is for many of those who cannot access or afford high quality healthcare.

Not that we can expect that she would know anything about what that's actually like in real life.

In a different world, Sarah would be receiving PT (instead of back surgery-which she may honestly need) because the cr-p Marketplace plan that she's supposedly on wouldn't approve her surgical procedure (and she wouldn't have been able to afford the costs). Obviously that is not the case but just saying.

Mass layoffs because Sarah can self cure and chat with AI instead of listening to her doctor, walking like an 80yo on stage. Microslop will end in lawsuits and even more job cuts after the AI job cuts.

Whoever did the development/rollout for Mission Simplify really needs to question their fit for their role. If anyone has viewed the Sharepoint page, no clear direction / objectives, no timelines, no resources or instructions. Just "Simplify".

At least post the corporate jets executives use to travel around in, costing the company millions of dollars! They sure have simplified travel for themselves.. Outrageous use of vendors, filling unneeded roles, private travel, billions in stock buybacks... thank all these for not getting your full bonus this year or a cost of living adjustment. It really is ridiculous and I'm surprised the shareholders have not revolted (yet)..

"We are laying people off"
"Ok so what all expenses paid vacation would you (manager) want to take?"

How tone deaf.

@OP , Sorry to intrude on your post, I dont know how to submit this, BUT, WHY no one is mentioning CYRACOM ? they dont have a name here even, they got bought by a company " PROPIO", and laid off ALL their employees, +6000 interpreters were fired all over the nation, without ANY compensation, they even wanted all employees to sign a VERY UNFAIR release to be able to collect unemployment.
