Since the weekend, it's been all anyone in my office can talk about. And who can blame us? We're way past loving or hating our jobs. We're straight scared for our livelihoods. I can't be the only one lying awake thinking about the mortgage, the kids, the bills that always seem to appear out of nowhere. And yeah, I've been looking for other work. And no, it hasn't helped. Just made me more anxious.

Need to take control of your future by proactively networking with former colleagues. San Diego is limited so you may want to look into the booming Biotech field; Santa Clara peeps have a ton of options so start looking. Take care of your mental and physical health.
Do not worry about the things that are out of your control, make sure that the things you can control are in order. Worries are the waste of energy that can be spent usefully elsewhere. As for the Q it seems to being primed for a takeover by BOD.
