Any news on upcoming layoffs. In our market, we have some organizational changes. Where there’s a small team and a large team under one supervisor that’s supposed to have different roles. One team will be working on building a program. The other team would continue to do what they’re doing. Thinking this may be a sign that they’re going to eliminate an entire team.

I work in Care Management/ETOC, and rumors are circulating that my entire department may be laid off because the roles aren’t going as planned, they have no need for us apparently. For over a month, we’ve been helping another team catch up while our own work sits untouched, which makes absolutely no sense. The whole situation feels off. It’s giving the same energy as the “secret layoffs” back in 2023/2024 when everyone was walking on eggshells waiting to be called into a termination zoom meeting. That level of uncertainty is exhausting. Right now it feels like something is brewing behind the scenes, and I can’t shake the feeling that layoffs from Centene may be coming again this year.
