Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Wells Fargo Employee Replacement Pool?

I realize this site is a minute fraction of total active employee count, but I have an idea...

Wells needs to have a replacement pool. It would be made-up of laid-off people who are willing to return and swap-in for one of the worthless, retained people Wells truly needs to get rid of.

You would return with years of service, future severance based on prior years of service, prior earned annual PTO days, 401k matching, etc. Salary would be negotiable. People who actually want to work and who are truly competent,

I think I need to pitch this to Wells.

They already had a program like that. It was called STAR. One of the first things Charlie did was get rid of it, because all the people that were displaced came back through a revolving door of contract positions. They don't want you to come back.

I am among the few who came back. Displaced in the fall of 2024. Found another job during severance (a lot less money) and was somewhat content. WF recruiter reached out to me based on a role a manager I worked with had (and he knew of my experience, work product, etc.), long story short was hired back at around my former salary. You will find that few, if any, banks pay as well as WF. Yeah, a lot of issues here, but most places have issues. So, it does happen…

They also had a program I think called STAR. I knew a guy that got laid off twice and rehire twice. Got severance each time too. That was over 10 years ago though

Now, they just don't care

Why would Wells hire people they fired previously?

Wachovia did this. It was called FirstPlace and it did all of that. Then they got bought by He-l’s Fargo and bo-m. Gone.

Sharts entire plan is to get rid of us. The last thing he wants is us coming back. Does it happen on rare occasions? Sure, but the vast majority never return from the axe and that's exactly how he wants it.

But why would anyone want to return to the worst employer ever who makes them actually come to work half the time? Why not just go work in a soviet gulag?
