The Reuters article is behind a paywall and the link doesn't work. But here's a Fox News article saying the FCC is considering rules to close offshore call centers and to also stop sports games from migrating off cable TV onto streaming apps. I admit it is annoying to pay for cable TV but also have to pay for apps just to watch sports.

AI is slowly going to replace foreign labor centers.
They will get around this with AI. Many retailers already are processing orders, returns, credit and billing issues as well as general inquiries etc. with relative success. There is no way business is moving away from this. There is too much money at stake. There will be growing pains but in the end it will work out better for the shareholders.
Never going to happen. Once they saw no need for office presence they came to the conclusion it can be done by anyone anywhere for a fraction. For better or worse it comes down to this.
From the company changing all corporate stores to indirect you think they are going to do this? LOLNO
Dan please bring back call center and tech support back to US
I get complaints every day from customers about the front line techs they barely understand that are from India.
We really just need to speed everything up, I don’t care if they speak broken English I care that they don’t waste my time and AI wastes everyone’s time.
"aware of the item and reviewing it" is corporate speak saying they aren't doing cr-p but don't want to highlight that they are slowly pushing EVERYTHING overseas.
