I reported in close proximity to Pete for 3 years and also worked around and with Felicia and Morgan. Pete was a great leader. Yes, he has two watches. But he was smart and asked good questions and focused on results and performance. He had what it takes. He’s a markedly better than Gail. The other leaders? Morgan? Ha. Felicia? Ha ha. Anthem has been a den of mediocrity at the top for a long time. Pete was better than them all…by a lot.

Pete was a horrible leader and an even worse human being. There was an infamous meeting of State Presidents where he berated one until she started crying.
This was not a her thing, it was him being an ahole.

He maintained his own IT and then pulled out a USB to transfer data. He gave the other leaders all the ammunition and I told you so’s to take their shot.
PH was the face of Carelon. The CMS Rx issues happened under his watch. Even though GB is actually responsible for the expected sanctions, there's no way she was going to take the fall. PH was the sacrificial lamb. I would have preferred to see MK, FN and GB go before PH. Yes, the two watches thing was elitist, but he is/was the best leader out of that bunch, IMO.
Who cares. It a moot point now. Carelon still su-ks so he couldn’t have been doing that great of a job.
