Been through multiple rounds myself over the past few years for various reasons. Even though I'm employed now, I can't shake this feeling that it's about to happen again any day. Which, working here, a lot of times makes sense, but it's happening even when we're in an in-between period. Every little rumor, every quiet meeting, my brain immediately goes there. It's like a reflex now. I feel like it's now my default setting.

no Lake Mary, you don't get paid and the books don't balance.
@bd I hope this is true. The rif did not get one of the liars that scams and does no real work. Has gotten away with it for over 10 years. Only in Lake Mary!
Another victim of living in "what if" land. Worrying, stressing, having anxiety HAS NEVER HELPED ANYONE EVER. You gotta change your programming and live in the now. Be prepared to reinvent yourself if needed, which really just takes true confidence in yourself and your abilities. So many people waste time worrying about things they have zero control over...this is a trap that you are falling right into over and over again. You cant control if another round of lay offs happen, but you can control how you respond. Focus on what you CAN control, that HAS HELPED MANY PEOPLE break the cycle you are in now.
@bd Did you hear that from a legitimate source? If it’s a mistake he wants to correct, are they just going to shut down that location?
get ready, especially if you work in Lake Mary. that location is about to undergo massive layoffs. it’s been said putting finance on an island was a massive mistake Dan wishes to correct.
@OP Welcome to business in America
PTSD
Prioritize paying down debt and the house if you own one. It was not as painful when you have no debt.
OP - you are not wrong. A lot of people feel the same way. Please take care of yourself.
