Go on strike and they will quickly confirm it's still intact.

Because Verizon havent said its going, just that they can't confirm yet.
I don't think it adds this but I understand they have to get approval from the board for it to go ahead again.
We can all throw a fit when it's actually announced that it's going away.
Even then we'll still get the tail end (I. E. Outstanding payments from 2024 and 2025 but slowly it will peter out.

This is true. It looks like nothing will be paid in 2027, but who cares? Chatbots and AI assistants don't need bonuses.
