Is there any severance package for IC levels?

Always subject to change, but based on what's been reported, it depends on grade, years of service, and weekly pay. At 1 year of service, Grades 10-20 get 4 weeks, Grades 25-40 get 6 weeks, and Grades 45-80 get 8 weeks. At 20+ years of service, it's 32, 40, and 48, respectively. They may also offer a delayed separation date and continued healthcare coverage. If you're laid off in Oregon, Nike will have to share in your severance agreement the titles of who else from your department's lay off round was impacted with their age and you can extrapolate from there who may be a good contact to navigate the other side with. If you're trying to quantify the full financial burden post-layoff, remember you can also look into your state's unemployment benefits. Most have online calculators to determine what your weekly benefits will be. Wishing all the best to anyone worried and those impacted; remember you had a life before Nike and it will go on after. There is so much good waiting for you beyond the berm.

@df meh. A few answered it. And keep in mind the more junior the level the more junior the experience. Not all twenty somethings in their first corp gig know the underlying context on severance.

Godda-mit none of you answered the question! Yes, it's likely there has been severance in the past. For lower levels it's not great. A few weeks maybe. If anyone can add to this, that would be great.

And seriously, everyone knows severance is for legal liability or they have copilot. They don't need a shetty explanation.

There has, but there doesn’t have to be. Oregon is an at-will state. The only reason there is, is because they want / need you to sign any legal liability away. Severance means shut-up-and-don’t-sue-us. It has nothing to do with honoring or thanking you for your contributions. It has everything to do with reducing liability.

So yeah, probably severance. But never count on it.
