Got it for the first time. Will I be put in a Performance improvement plan? Or will be let go soon?

Bell curves were forced this year more than any other year. None of the low impacts in my department are at risk of a PIP at this point.
@p4 great work!!! You are so lucky to have a manager recognize your value! Good for both of you!
@118 Well sure. that's true for all of us.
@pk
long term you don't matter and can be replaced
I was rated low impact. My manager said I did my job well but didn’t “make a lasting impact on the department” what tf that’s supposed to mean. I’m not management so I don’t know what kind of lasting impact they are expecting. By definition doing the job well seems like it should be “sold” so there’s obviously a lot of politics involved.
@h0 I did some self reflecting and in Q4 I stepped up to the plate and did the work that needed to be done. It was rough but I had a store manager who saw the value in me and knew that the department I was in when I got that low impact rating was not for me. So moves were made and I thrived.
@g7 no I actually got my s—t together and proved that I was ready to be a manager. I swear the fact that these comments can be posted anonymously doesn’t take away from the fact that the person behind the comment is a POS.
I was High Impact. Do some self reflection.
@ev How did that happen? Did your performance materially change or was it a right place at the right time thing?
@ev and there you have it! When Macys is desperate, regardless of review performance or ability to do a job - BAM. You’re promoted to a manager 😂
I got a low impact at the beginning of last year and just got a promotion to manager less than a year later.
Informed by my boss that since we missed sales plan, all leaders would be rated low on sales impact, regardless of what they personally achieved. Then said I was lucky I didn’t receive a low in profit.
It’s discouraging when performance feels reduced to a single number, especially in a complex environment.
How consistent is this across the company?
@at Oh no. I got this rating and was told it's because I'm new and still getting up to speed. Is that BS? Should I start looking for another role?
You need to start looking for another job, quickly.
Why didn't you ask in your review???
Basically it would be that you do less than expected or not to standards.
