Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

What news of Bedminster? Closing shop?

Rumors that Bedminster is closing and the outcasts will be divided between Middletown and Paramus.

Another baseless rumor or a glimpse of CRE's playbook?

If you live in NJ you already know what’s going on.

It’s obvious and we all know what’s happening.

Middletown is an ATT owned building. It was just remodeled and re-equipped to support as many people as possible.

Paramus was supposed to be shut down but is somehow holding on.

Bedminster was closed and they leased a temporary office down the road.

They will be closing Paramus and Bedminster and Middletown will remain. Middletown has always been the last office standing in Nj. That’s no secret. When? Who knows….

@ev Dallas is and always has been, way, way overstaffed. What are all these Dallas employees doing for eight hours everyday? Need a "deep dive" investigation.

Yes, let’s close the HQ in an area with mostly $1M homes and move some of them to Paramus, NJ with $2M+ homes and keep salaries stagnant!

@ar why would the company NOT have an NJ/NYC presence?

Isn't NJ Verizon territory? Why do we have a presence there at all? Just for the ample supply of H1B slaves?

"So you have to ask why they are STILL converting offices to cubicle farms? Not like they are going to be hiring... Only answer is to make space to relocate other NJ people."

The mistake is you're assuming that we make good decisions. My old office was completely redone; new carpet, new cubes, new furniture, new paint, new appliances, updated plumbing etc. Today there is one person left there and they have been told to go elsewhere. We don't always do smart things or things that make sense.

NJ WARN act did go in for Bedminster. Is on the official NJ website. Listed 75 people effected.

That said, they are still doing construction in Middletown for the one building at that campus they own. Most people and labs from the other 4 buildings have already either been crunched into cubes or the relocation space for them identified. So you have to ask why they are STILL converting offices to cubicle farms? Not like they are going to be hiring... Only answer is to make space to relocate other NJ people.

This is same script they used before closing Redmond and shipping those people to Bothell.

CRE person leaked that they are not renewing leases. Locations such as arlington heights IL will close EOY.

It will be Plano for many orgs including ATL.

A playbook and a plan? Thats funny.
Here's how it works. Every building is for sale. When one actually sells, they'll figure out what to do with the people.

That plan is too kind.

The Stink 💩 is far more diabolical.

Those displaced will have to relocate to some distant state, and then be wacked within six months.

Stink will give as many as possible the megalomaniac treatment!
