Got laid off from the NY office a while back and only got 60 days notice. Apparently NY requires 90 days notice… has anyone experienced this ?

There is a 90 day requirement if NY WARN Act applies, so it would supercede the Fed WARN Act period of 60 days. Both are only triggered with specific conditions and are most often triggered by the volume of layoffs. If the number layed off at same time in NY state did not exceed that criteria, it would not apply. I thinknit would be 250 in NY on that date to apply.
i googled and there really is no required notice period in ny
which dept? How many got displaced?
