Yes, the 2K that they have admitted to will be done tomorrow. This doesn't mean there aren't going to be more. For example, a WARN notice was posted for the Morris Plains NJ office that will be done in 3 rounds ending in May.
How do you know that 1,500 people have been laid off so far? It certainly seems like at least that many have been JE’d, just based on the hundreds of impacted positions I’m aware of. But I don’t know of any credible source for the total YTF.
Don’t get hung up on the 2,000 number. We all know it’s b.s. I believe the biggest wave of layoffs is over for now, but anyone who thinks there won’t be more the rest of the year is kidding themselves.
This is a drastic, desperate and poorly thought out expense cutting exercise so that the company can hit arbitrary and unrealistic earnings numbers for Wall Street.
