How safe is Canada? I just recently joined last year..is the location safe as they are hiring..

I personally know 4 people who got laid off in Mississauga last week. No one is safe
I don't know what group you are with, but Canada (Missassauga) has been deemed a Talent Center Strategic site for HR. Many US roles are being moved to Canada and the job losses are happening in the US only. But, it is Citi, so you can never feel 100 % safe.
It's safe as didn't hear anything about the location, in Tim's email too

They are not bloated and it'd be hard to cut there. Nobody is safe but I think Canada is much safer than anyone else. Plus, lower cost.
