There is no discussion. You will receive a PDF that shows your merit increase and AIP amount. You may also receive a brief platitude from your manager. The end.

They won’t be a discussion though. It is this is what you get. It’s not like you could say I deserved more and get it Be prepared to be disappointed as usual.
