@OP what's really awesome is sending money through those tubes to cars.
Say that to get someone to leave you alone at a co-ktail party.

I have had people assume I was a Customer Service rep when I told them I work at Wells Fargo. I have had people ask for help with their bank accounts after I tell them I work for Wells. I don't work Customer Service or with bank accounts so I can't help them. lol

But, most people just ask what I do for the bank.

Anyone who says “it depend on the crowd you hang with,” probably has no friends.

I'm still stuck on why you would tell anyone you work for Wells Fargo....

@OP
Because of 1 id1ot? Them, not you. Well....

Anyway, worked for the company for nearly 20 years and never once had anyone ask/assume I was a teller. Perhaps you come across as someone 1 notch above a Walmart cashier.

@OP
Never had that happen.
I guess it's what crowd you hang with.

Not really that surprising. If someone told you they worked for a circus your first thought would likely be do they work with animals or are they a clown? But no, they meant they work at Wells --at least until next Tuesday...

Yes, I’m always asked, what branch do you work at….when I work in a corporate building.

Yes, your one interaction with a stranger is obviously extrapolated out to the answer of every person. Good test case study with your participation of one person.

Tellers are losers who have to actually come to work five days a week for set hours and everything. They aren't corporate royalty who work whenever and however they want. Thats the correct response to such an insult.

Tellers don't handle large amounts.

I get a headache from having to explain to people that Wells Fargo is a large corporation.

This is definitely true. I ran into someone I haven’t seen in 2-3 years, I told them I worked at WF and that was his response. It’s usually teller or something something branch. I paused and just said no I work in an office setting.
