We just got in 4 new forklift batteries … now there is a rule we can’t use the chains to pick them up off the pallet with a forklift to put them on the battery changer! So, home office .. please enlighten all of us on just how are we supposed to do this without a forklift? Let alone putting the old ones in a pallet to ship out ! Between u making our lifts go slower than the floor scrubber these so called safety changes are about the most id--tic changes in the 27 years I have been here ! Maybe home office needs to start working in clubs so they can try to do all this ! Be prepared for a lot more workman’s comp cases since these kinda changes are not safe for the associates !

I want to let my lift license expire. I'm more fatigued than ever with the new "safety" implementations. Start, stop, start, stop, all over the place. I am not in control of the machine anymore, but have to acknowledge the machine is in perfect working order every time i use it and safe to use. Weekend furniture drops are scarier than a bull in a glass factory when negotiating poles, displays, oblivious to danger members despite lights, horns, etc. Calibration of these systems is off the wall. It feels more dangerous to drive now than ever. No option to bump forward a little bit to get out of the way for the impatient speed shopper member. Drivers now are literally apologizing for the inconvenience more than ever. This was the worst disaster for experienced drivers ever conceived by a Billion dollar company. It might be an experiment to save / make money, save insurance costs, etc. A trail of impatient members behind my spotter is unacceptable. With this new system, a foot or two of distance "make or brake" baloney takes away any chance a driver has to maintain a stable footing on the platform when members enter the "view" of the performance limiter. Cornering is a crawl. Try clearing a crowd anywhere near a demo or taste ad tips. Keep your License.
New rules at 8152. Associates are not allowed to use shopping carts or trash cans. Store manager said they are for members only.
@sj no battery changer. Not charger.
We don’t even have a battery charger at my club (8152). We were told we didn’t need one.
@f7 yes we do but now we can even pick them up with chains on a lift to put it on there from the pallet .. not sure if they expect us to lift the battery.
@OP does your club not have the battery puller attachment to pull batteries out of lifts?
