Yes, I am guilty of being a boomer. I guess these days J2 and OE may be the only way to survive.
You can. GW is such a disorganized mess and there is literally no hr office. They outsource everything, HR, Finance, Management, Etc. GW does so many unethical things and steals from the government. I say go for it and sc--w the boomers telling you otherwise.
Whatever you do outside Gainwell time, keep it to yourself.
If you fall out of favor or look at someone the wrong way, they'll use whatever information you gave them to stab you in the back.
They're not your friends and a lot of them are not good people. Keep your Gainwell time and other time separate from each other. Ever seen the show on Apple TV called 'Severance'. Be like that, but without a chip in your head.
If you’re considering OE and another J2 do not disclose that. You will get fired. Keep it to yourself and make that money but don’t let that money make you.
Gainwell should pay more and people wouldn’t have to resort to getting a second job.
Ethics at Gainwell are strictly subjective and situational.
I think as long as you disclose your OE, it should be fine. A couple of managers and upper-levels have two or more that I am aware of. One I know of is a real estate agent, and the other works for a retailer after hours. I have actually been on the phone with the one, while she was showing a listing, and she had to call me back. Not sure about the ethics of this, since she was definitely working another job during work hours. HR is aware, and if they don't have a problem with it, then it's not a corporate issue.
@tb Gainwell is one of the most unethical companies in existence.
Isn’t J2 and OE unethical?
not likely
Overemployment and second job.
What is OE and J2?
