Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Bad talent decisions catching up

The company keeps letting go of people who actually know the work and matter, then shuffling others into roles they aren’t set up for. It’s creating gaps and inefficiencies that could’ve been avoided. I'll never understand the logic behind their thinking.

Has anyone noticed that the rich only gets richer because rich people only put other rich people in high places?

This is because execs are more interested in politics and supporting people from their own country (we all know which). I have personally seen good engineers and managers laid off and managers who are favorites and who just relay information without understanding, survive and get promoted.

Money. Execs are there for the money. If they get fired, another friend in another company bring them in.
