Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Holiday consideration for you

As the employees of T - at least those who weren't sacrificed because of senior executive incompetence - enter this holiday season there is at least one thing to celebrate:

Know that as you wonder and worry about being the next to get spitcanned, you can always take comfort in the fact that Stink will be getting a HUGE bonus in March, a much-deserved (and generous) raise, and not have to worry about ever needing to answer to the board about his sub-standard performance.

That should brighten your holidays.

Ho Ho Ho

I tuned into the video because I honestly thought he was going to thank us but after he wrote his first note I turned it off and deleted the email. Dang, I was fooled! And didn’t he or someone do the exact same thing once before? It wasn’t very original, and for once it would be nice to see our executives be serious.

Video was cringeworthy but you watched. Probably replayed it a few times too.

His latest video of thank you notes was cringe worthy

Yep. I bet the folks over at T Mobile have included T in their annual thank you notes since 2011 the year of the failed attempt to purchase them. I looked it up, the anniversary of the decision to not pursue the purchase is 12/19.

It probably reads something like this. Thank you ATT, Randall, the BOD and the rest of your leadership team that gracefully decided not to pursue the purchase of our company and the gift of $3 billion in cash as well as access to $1 billion worth of AT&T-held wireless spectrum that you gave to us. As we continue to grow our company we think about you about this time every year, especially as we deploy an amazing network.

This year one of your many disgruntled employees sent me the holiday video you made where you said you were thankful for the customers we sent your way. Your welcome, that is the least we can do in return for the gift that you gave us in 2011. Your gift keeps on giving. With those addition subs we sent your way, I struggle to understand why the analysts are once again turning on T after the 30 day run your stock had earlier this quarter. It is unfortunate with the sacrifices you are making giving away devices that it is not making much of a difference. BTW, as we continue to grow, we are looking ahead to your next gift, the talented folks you will be surplusing next quarter.

I will milk this company for every last cent I can, and I’ll never feel guilty about it.

True dat. I can only hope that when he does pass… it will be after a long and painful illness.
