Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

All offshore locations are excited...

... to see what's coming next. Hopefully trimming fat in US will bring stable growth in Pune, Bangalore and Mumbai. That's ironic - American company cutting Americans first. FAFO!

Most jobs will be replaced by AI in next 3-5 years. Offshore/ Onshore. Most decision makers will sit in locations like NY, London, some in Singapore and India.
Accept this fact.
Roles in project managers , BA will no longer be required and a senior manager will play such roles by using AI agents.
Take example of touchscreen phone technology ( blackberry/nokia vs apple). It took only half a decade to transform everything.
This is AI.

@e5 - I’ve been here long enough to see many people come and go. Over the next 1-2 years, I expect AI at CITI to replace offshore roles, such as those in India, that currently focus on repetitive tasks. Believe me I will be around as I‘m on the project to make it happen.

Now a select few have turned this forum into a racial division opportunity. Racism is bred from fear.

Isn’t every office besides NY and London just an extension of the Pune office?
