Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Is it ok to take a medical leave of absence from Sam’s Club but continue to work my other job? Sam’s should be ok without me since everyone else usually does all my work, but my other job is a smaller competitor and I only work at Sam’s to get the discount on fresh items during the holidays so my commission is better at my other job when we resell what I buy at Sam’s. My GM doesn’t seem to care so I feel like I’m doing nothing wrong. Someone told me it’s a conflict of interest, but I’m getting paid more by my other job so I just take medical leave to work the other job when it’s busy. My boss also pays me to shop at Sam’s when I’m on leave so I can get that sweet discount on expensive fresh items, and then I get cash rewards on top of my regular pay too. I don’t know why everyone doesn’t do this. There are lots of small businesses struggling to stay alive, go get a job at one and use Sam’s to benefit that business.
