Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Tough times are ahead because of H1Bs + AI + work going offshore.

Tough times are ahead because of H1Bs + AI + work going offshore.

So, sell your home(s), and stock(s) (if they are in profit) and keep cash to survive the tough time.

Outsourcing of jobs is the main reason why jobs are disappearing from USA.

No one in the main media talks about this, very few. Main media is controlled by tech leaders and billionaires who are reaping profits by outsourcing everything from USA.

Greed is everywhere in the Bay Area and USA. Only a few concerned about middle class workers and students struggling to get jobs.

Thanks to Cisco routers and SP HFR !!

We all are connected world wide but jobs are moving from country to country.

Culture of innovation and freedom to experiment is critical for any company to thrive at a location. I see many Asian countries fail at this.

there is two groups (SBG and collaboration) that have some id--ts delegated here on a permanent basis. Any topic comes up ends with "yes it SBG..." similarly for Collab.
And then there is the RTP idiocy that keeps coming back.

Cisco has been headed towards sweatshop status with SBG for a while. The services are not considered competitive and sales are achieved by underbidding on contracts where the buyer is typically obliged to accept the low bid (this is why you see so many government, university sales).

I predict SBG will eventually drop the pretense of having a product line and just move in to professional services like IBM. Its a good fit for a Bangalore-centered business...a reliable stream of simple, low-end work.

There's no big money where this is all heading so North American workers will either have to move on to other endeavors or accept less $$$. Basically a repeat of global auto production from the 80s. You have to know when the party is over.

H-1B has been around for 35 years and the massive push for large scale offshoring started 25 years ago. I suppose for a Cisco employee these seem "current."
