I calculate my savings every single week just to see if I can afford to quit. The daily stress and negativity have long stopped being worth the salary. It's gotten so bad that I've been considering some very risky financial choices just for my peace of mind. And to think I used to love my job and recommend Cisco to anybody and everybody as a great workplace.

Appreciate your service. Turn right after exiting.
Strongest survive…the weak….
GO!!. I imagine you aren't worth what you are getting paid now and are probably just a little bi--h at work dragging everyone else down.
OP, I very much relate. It's that bad and I'm a long time employee (over 20 years). This is the worst I've ever experienced here and I've seen plenty of #@^% too. #stress #anxiety #burnout #mentalhealth
I stayed for 18 years to get a great payout. Looking back it cost my peace, my physical health and my mental health. I will never do that again.
I had high blood pressure that permanently damaged my heart valve.
Here’s what you do while you prepare. Put you first. Exercise, go to the Dr now with the great benefits, keep saving your money and create a community around you outside of Cisco. (Friends and family).
Hang in there.
That's what I did, up and quit recently. Best decision, no regrets. The Sunday Scaries were becoming crippling.
Over past ten years I maxed out my 401k and IRA and quit aged 57. The BS and toxicity at Cisco was affecting my health. Like others say, I used to love my job and Cisco. The place has imploded since CR took over with his obsession with numbers, cost cutting and licenses to do anything and everything.
I can sell you a plot of land on the moon. A little risk, but big upside.
OP, I feel the same way.
Cool story bro.
Cisconians should ALWAYS max out 401k. If over 50 or 60 yrs of age, utilize the catch up contributions to their max. If you can save anything over and above this, contribute after-tax dollars to your brokerage account. Don’t touch it. Let it grow. This will prepare you to quit on your own terms when things go sideways or prepare you to take advantage of a layoff with a package. You’ll don’t want to be mid 50’s out of work and unable to find work. Be a blessing to your older self and prepare.
Cisco is not a good company
