Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Rumor

Can anyone confirm if it’s true that Tuesday will be the 2nd round of layoffs hitting fraud this time? Mainly detection

No offense, but if you haven’t realized that ALL companies don’t give a sh*t about you then you’re borderline special needs.

Move around every couple of years for more money if possible, and always into a higher role. That’s what all these incompetent execs coming in do.

USAA’s culture died years ago with the first consent order.

Layoffs will continue until morale improves.

Yes and expect it to continue in March and April.

Right to work is the biggest scam - employees have lost job security, have lower pay, and have to endure toxic environment. And yes we can quit but human beings seek stability not constant turmoil by restarting your career. Loyalty should be a two-way street - but that doesn't exist.
Trust me - they are actively working to see if they are liable for ignoring our job offers that have a clear bonus % range. My bet is they will use this cra..y economy to publish a policy that says the bonus target is no longer a "thing". They will sell it as "right to earn more".

@cb You misunderstood the first response. The job offer is a contract, even if it does not have the word "contract" in its title. Every USAA employee enters that agreement after receiving the written job offer, and to the first responder's post, the job offer specifies that the employment is "at will" meaning both the employer and the employee have the right to end the agreement at any time.

Wait wait wait, hold up.

So all you AML people who post in here literally every week about layoffs have signed specific contracts with the company to work and get paid on a PER DIEM basis, contract to contract?!

Y'all are NOT allowed to come in here and post about layoffs anymore lmao

you should prepare yourself no matter what the outcome. After all, we all signed a contract to work for the company and get paid daily. When the company no longer wants us to work on that specific job, they let us go. It's a contract after all. Don't attach yourself too emotionally to your job, your colleagues, or your work location. Instead spend that energy updating your resume, learning AI skills online, and interviewing for your next job. Those interviews are a lot tougher now due to AI.
