Honest question for those who were laid off (especially Medicare/Medicaid – Community & State, Member Services):

Before it happened, what were the signs you ignored or didn’t recognize at the time?

What changed first?

I’m not looking for reassurance. I’m looking for patterns.

My 1st sign was when Witty left, stock dropped and budgets started getting gutted. (I started aggressively applying internally & externally for roles)
My 2nd sign was the tearful culling and reorg of Q3. (I started revamping my LI network, confirming references, etc.)
My 3rd sign was the back to office directive. (I'm officially cooked and officially open for work anywhere but here.)
Unsurprisingly, I got RIF-ed this week.
God help us all in this job market from he-l.

They introduced us to six new teammates in Hyderabad, India. Only it ended up being 45 people, to replace twenty of us cut.
