Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Bankruptcy inevitable

We have had too many years to fix the company but nothing has changed only more bad decisions by management and quality/recall issues by engineers. I feel like we are going to be the next sears. I wonder which company will buy the new corporate buildings in Dearborn few years from now. Very sad story indeed. Thanks Farley and the rest of the executive leadership team for this…

@124 You can say what you like about Farley, but his army of stone cold a--holes in HR are the real problem. Who comes up with these stupid ideas? A new HR system every year? Zero transparency? No accountability? DEI/No DEI? "Family"? Really, what kind of crackheads are these? No wonder people are unhappy, this company can't tell it's head from it's a--hole anymore.

We're you at the Global Town Hall today? Most of your concerns would have been answered there if you paid attention. What has JF done?? Are you joking? For one, he was the force behind the creation of Model e, Skunkworks, Ford Pro, and the legacy Ford Blue.

You aren't seeing the big picture and the future. That is where Model e and Skunkworks come in with our certain to be successful products and services that will change the mobility landscape.

@c2 what next gen are you talking about? You need to layoff the crack. it is affecting your brain. Data and numbers do not lie. the decision the bod and senior management made are starting to show. $160bn+ in debt... The dividend to actual profit tells you they are stealing form Paul to pay Peter... I wish someone can answer this question.. What actually has JF done since he has hired into Ford?

This is a Billy Ford failure, the buck stops with him, apparently playing hockey, and karate didn’t help.

@qa No, people have been absolutely nasty these last two years, unnecessarily, and personally without any reason. It’s sick, it’s like everyone forgot how to how to be normal. I don’t give a flying f what the elt says or does, it’s not going to impact how I treat others.

@q8 you are mistaking a toxic work environment (created and enforced) by SLT as nastiness.

@q3 Agree, but that’s no excuse to be nasty to others.

It's almost a communist type of thing. Pit everyone against each other (our PR's) instead of together for a common good. Seems all I'm focused on is being better than the next guy so I don't get PIP'd. "That'll only make me work hard enough not to get fired, Bob". RTO 4 days, musical find a chair, H1B only buildings, threatening emails...I can't imagine it being managed worse. Not telling us anything, really, in the town halls, Kumar scolding us for real questions that everyone wants to ask... And they wonder why moral and confidence is in the sh----r? This is the attitude that's tanking the company. No amount of a CEO whispering at us and calling us family will help.

@nv Veteran employees were doing just fine until they were told they were human waste.

@mm where did this change get us? Why does it seem like even veteran employees have gotten nastier? It seems to me like a mix of Covid weirdness and toxic culture didn’t do much for morale.

Company is accelerating toward implosion. HR met their objective of bringing in outsiders to change the culture at the expense of company survival. The leaders they brought from other companies were rejects, not the coveted well known problem solvers in the industry. All these rejects have pushed out Ford competence and surrounded themselves with their cronies- also incompetents who have never delivered a thing. They have not adapted to Ford and have set up their area to run like their old company. Ford has gone from functional silos to having mini company silos that are not working for a common goal: GM Planning, Stellantis Engineering, WhIrlpool Supply Chain, GE manufacturing, Apple Software and a sprinkle of Tesla / Rivian Advanced Engineering. Company silos within a company. Too many egos and competing objectives to ever allow true alignment and incentivize teams to speak a common Ford language. Company is barreling toward insolvency.

@c2

You've been saying that for literally years. Your YoY performance has been in the negative. Start producing some results. Next year, or wait until...are not acceptable.

You are a miserable failure, a charlatan, and a fool. Your uneducated contrbutions make everyone collectively less intelligent for reading them. Your mid-wit perspectives demonstrate your lack of general acumen.

Ford. GM. Stelantis. All three are getting out of EV pick up truck. They are making room for the new Tesla.

I would hold any negative preconceptions until the next-gen products from Model e are debuted. This will become the true turnaround of the company and growth revenue that comes from the company's transformation.

Plain and simple partnering with Chinese on a venture like that is what you do when you cannot compete. It's already been done at that point.

That deal with China is the first step in the takeover. The actual purchase will start as a bailout. JF and DF are agents of China.
