Is this the same as getting IM? And means the axe is about to fall?

@a7 I agree with this. Someone in your org got your money, maybe it was spread across several people. The question is where do you see yourself in the org? Are you a top performer, or just getting by. It really comes down to the fact that they have a bucket of money, maybe 2-3% of all of the combined salaries to work with. If it’s set to 2%, for example, and you get a 3% raise, someone else got less than 2%. So, if you got 0%, are their stronger individuals in the org?
I got a meets pre Bei and it was strong (mid year exceeds) and still got no raise one year. I was below the midpoint. Point blank my salary was higher than a made up threshold. Bonus was decent tho.
Also never expect them to be decent human beings / treat us like they would like to be treated and communicate the no raise plan to us in advance.
The new normal is how I’m going to think of this - never expect a raise again then it’s a pleasant surprise if / when I get one.
Your manager should have told you why?
And if not you should of asked
Most likely above the midpoint
If you're in the US the writing has been on the wall for a decade now. This no raise thing is just another symptom.
I think zero raises are going to be a new normal and another way to get people to quit.
may be you are highly compensated individual.
At lot of people seemed to get a 0 increase. I was meets and got zero.
@OP there are at least 2 reasons why you got zero raise. First, that you make more than the median salary for your role or second, that you got less than a “meets”. In the second case you would be more at risk for getting let go, for cause, meaning no severance.
