Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Do post-mass JE fires get severance?

Do “regular” one off job eliminations get offered severance? Worried superfluous PIPs and bogus fires will start next. Our org says we’re done but it sure doesn’t feel like it

@a4 Conditions as well. Like having to train your replacement in HIH for severance. They did this during the H1B era in 90s and peaked in 2000s.

If you are laid off (your position is eliminated) then yes. If you are fired for performance or other issues, then no.

But, Cigna could always change its severance policy in the future. For example, reduce the payments to one week per year of service vs. the current 2 weeks. That wouldn’t surprise me.

@a1 but worse ones. had to give high performers a good one since they have no reason to be laid off.
