Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Who else feel this way

I really want to get done some right things for the customers but I get so frustrated when all these middle managers are too incompetent to take a decision and too power to block your progress.

I am mentally quitting unless Dan present some radical ideas tomorrow to weed out these middle management employees ( Directors and above) .. even AD are not good but they are not that powerful and willing to hear.

I'm with @ax. By removing 40-50% of workforce among Band 3-4-5 and replacing it with AI will boost efficiency and morale tremendously. The AVP layer is useless, it is an additional road block in the process.

Lot of employees share what you feel. Way too many managers (Sir Dir, Dir and AD) are put by their SVP/VP on the same exact product hence they spend most of the time fighting amongst themselves while the VP/SVP is busy trying to make everybody happy - it is like a charity and not a business.

Dan should Remove 60 - 70% of management if he wants to gain efficiency - not sure if he can, as this setups runs very deep in Verizon, and many SVP/VP will work against what Dan is trying to do.

BTW - do not submit anything to Sam as suggested by @a7 (the useless survey lady) She is pathetic.

Submit a post it note to Sam with your ideas. Her HR answers AI will make you feel seen, valued and heard to delight our customers!
