The pinnacle will be Joyce's legacy, laying off more people EVER in the history of this company. In the latest SEC filing, 2024 & 2025 saw SIGNIFICANT increases in SEVERANCE / restructuring charges, when compared to 2023.
This is not over yet....

The increase was primarily due to strategic changes in our North America operating segment business resulting in the realignment of certain roles and responsibilities and reductions in workforce.... ( ie: Stan the man got pushed aside cause he could NOT make the numbers... or was it Krusty burger? Someone has to be the fall guy, right?), then we started bringing in Cisco sellers like all kids on the soccer field all getting medals when losing (ie: CAP dudes).... and they come at a premium, like all the CAP dudes running around this place..
The results of operations for 2025 include the following items:
•severance and restructuring expenses, net of $37.1 million, $27.6 million net of tax;

Guess now "months" for a new CEO, sure are having a hard time filling the spot, sure the execs are a bit disappointed that none of their buddies have been chosen so far. Sure BurntKrustBurger is trying to charm the pants out of the board to try and take the pole position. When you RIF your way to increased margins and the financials are not that solid when compared to peers, seems like the only choice they will have is to throw a TON of $$$$$ at someone to take the job. Cause you have to dig yourself out of the toxic hole that this place has become and turn around a ship that has been taking on too much water.
Another swing and a miss by the TEAM TEAM DREAMY TEAM. Operating margins are up cause a bunch of folks got WHACKED. Not like more money was made when REVENUE is DOWN, Q/Q & Y/Y.
