Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Check your pay

UK staff – with the recent change and standardisation of terms, have you checked your January pay advice? I’m finding it hard to tell whether mine is correct. What I can say is that my increased pension contribution was deducted from salary, but none of it has reached my pension this month.

The point to be made here is: Despite the household name. All these companies have legacy IT systems run by companies like DXC. With staff who don't really care. When it works great. When it doesn't - oh that justified why they still need a helpdesk. It's all very slow, and no attention to detail.

It's totally on you to point out their errors! They are unlikely to spot it themselves. For the people who didn't notice it was missing, or think SL/DXC did spot it. No it was me - and others here who raised a ticket and called it out. At least they have corrected everyone, not yet the ones who raised a ticket. Well I assume that's what's happened?

FYI - my AVC just landed (Monday), but it defaulted into the multi-asset fund, not inline with my actual investment instructions. Can’t make this up.

@100 For clarity - DXC HAS NOT CHANGED PENSION PROVIDER. Payment typically land around a week after payroll, and always by the end of the month. This month it's late. It's probably worth millions sitting in someone suspense account whilst they blame each other. Meanwhile employees are left wondering if this is an error or an intentional withholding of something the company didn't think their mostly sleepy workforce would even notice.

Are you new? Same thing happens every month. It was raised when DXC last changed pension providers and there was an official response, which basically said it takes a while.

You can whine all you like but it's not changing, it's also not unusual, for once we can't blame DXC.

I was promised Friday by both sides. It's still not been credited. We're approaching 3 weeks since pay day. What's so complicated?

Yea I raised a case with payroll and SL earlier in the week. Apparently SL have the cash, and promised to pay it in backdated within a few biz days.

Still not shown up. What’s a few K between friends.

If you're affected raise a ticket. If you're not bothered, the cash is ready but is more useful on DXC profit and loss. Until it goes bust! Then you'll never see it again! And no they have not just changed pension provider.

It's fine, there has always been a delay before arriving in your pension, pension company has some justification. This got raised and "explained" last time DXC changed pension providers

And these changes were supposed to ‘standardise’ things and make everything clearer? Bet old Del Boy’s was ok and no doubt another Brucey bonus lobbed in too!!

The same applies to Germany:

Pension contributions are deducted incorrectly, vacation overviews are not filled out, and three years ago, a change in the provider responsible for payroll accounting led to a predictable disaster. Suggested solution: “Open a ticket.” This is synonymous with: “Talk to your reflection in the mirror while shaving in the morning: you won't get an answer there either, and it looks just as angry!”

Thank you for helping DXC achieve it's financial targets by allowing it to keep your salary a little longer than usual this month. After all, if you can afford to put extra money into your pension. You can probably afford to loan it to DXC interest free until the current cashflow crisis is resolved.
