Happening this week, could be as many as 200 heads, doing it same week as earnings call, will be announced as a restructure charge, likely effective immediately or with extremely short notice once you’re notified, good luck

@nh anyone know how far along they are in the layoffs today?
65M saved…7.35B to go!! SMH!!! Good ol’ Crack Castle.
Has anyone ever successfully negotiated their severance package? Any lawyers they recommend?
@nn were you let go? I am so sorry.
Well thats it...My drone is about to crash and burn...done with this sh!t. Gonna have some cadweld fun for the next guy
@nc if you cut 300 people with average salaries of 100k, that is 30 M to start ( not including benefits, stock, and annual bonuses ). Then they will close offices, I assume where they will justify the other 30M.
@nj just Canonsburg
@ng So they are keeping Canonsburg (West PA) and Conshohocken (East PA) Or just canonsburg? PA is a large state
They’re making calls now. Some people have already been told this morning. This company won’t last and the way they are doing it with not even more than a week or more notice….just calling and saying: Bye
Not a good look CC. Your business and ethics are for **
@ne they are keeping PA, Houston, PHX and Charlotte. All others are closing. You can find this info on the home page FAQ.
@nb I would expect to hear about people getting let go, but crickets so far
@nd can you provide a list of offices they are closing/keeping?
@nc 65m won’t come from just the layoff. There also closing office locations across the nation, except for 4.
They expect to save $65M with today’s layoff.
From MarketWatch article last night—
“The job cuts, along with other cost reductions, is expected result in about $65 million of annual savings, the communications infrastructure provider said Wednesday.”
@na it’s always quiet on mass layoff days. What do you expect???
Has anyone heard anything today? Seems pretty quiet for a mass layoff day.
MarketWatch and SeekingAlpha both just issued headlines confirming CC job cuts February 2026.
MW reported 20% job cuts of 3,900 total (which is usually underreported—it’s always higher % cuts than reported to the press). 20% is higher percentage than reported in 2024. I’m locked out of the SA article since I don’t have an account on there.
Overall outlook: CC steady going downhill.
@j4 sounds like all departments
aren't you glad you went in the office today to meet your attendance check in by your incompetent mgr
Honestly so much winning since Elliot showed up.
@e4 The Red Hatters are dissenting with that assessment lol! Truth stings…
Crack Castle… that’s what the leadership was hitting when making decisions.
Taking suggestions on a new company name:
Casualty Castle
Cleared Castle
Crown & Out
Crumbling Castle
Culled Castle
Oh good the stock is down 5 points.
Again, a company cant take an 8B loss on fiber/sc assets and everything stays the same. Then add in the carriers scaling back and Dish disaster.
Anyone know what departments they are hitting in tower? Last time around there seemed to be a very clear team by team review to cut low performers. This time, at least on my team, there hasn’t seemed to be any signs of that. Are they blanket cutting across the organization or strategically cutting whole departments?
@j2 I was wrong. I admit.
Rumors huh…Logic dictated lay offs were coming and mainly towers.
Can network volunteer
@d4 lot of downvotes on you. I heard the same as you. I guess people don’t like hearing the truth.
Part of the sale agreement is that they don’t do layoffs on people in the perimeter. The buyers can do what they want after the closing.
They are moving some of the potential layoffs to the perimeter to save them from termination, but also to avoid having to pay them RSUs for last year’s work. No one in the perimeter gets RSUs in 2026, but they do get bonuses and the lump sum of stock in their 401k.
The layoffs would happen before the 2026 RSU payout so they don’t have to let the people have that money and as part of our standard severance - CC would be throwing that money away. They can also avoid paying out the discretionary match for those people. Whether or not they get the bonus is up for debate.
Does anyone else have additional info on this?
Early communication started which is why many secured spots with the new company suddenly to keep their RSUs and more stability for now, the ones they want to pack and go hadn’t been told yet but this week is plan.
@ge the op said layoffs this week. This sounds certain. If it is a rumor it should be stated as such so people don’t needlessly get anxious and worry.
@gw exactly if it doesn’t happen now it will happen eventually.
Carriers are slashing so there’s a trickle down effect. Not surprising
They squeezed every last drop of effort from the fools who work hard to get they approvals for the sale, even be lazy non working once who just kiss up and manipulate who were going to be on the list figured it out and negotiated a stay of execution getting themselves as last minute adds to the famous permitter list to buy themselves more time to fake it until they make it while the performance issues or those who were honest and they didn’t like it get the axe today determined at the VP level of which some especially IT has no clue who is who and who does want so good luck people this will be legendary
Fake news…
What time we think around 11 est? My guess is managers know by now.
@ep the whole point of this portal is to talk about layoffs, even potential and concerns around that. The platform gives a chance to spill the beans anonymously in case anyone have any.
