During 15 minutes layoff meeting, there were my direct manager and her manager. I was saying nothing, showing no emotions. My direct manager asked me if I was listening. I answered yes, but I decided to stay calm. No emotions, no protest, no talks.... is sometimes the best we-pon to destabilize managers. They asked me if I wanted to add something, I just said : ok, it is noted, have a beautiful day.
I was already looking for another position, I got offers, both internally and externally. I took the severance, worked externally, and later I still receive proposals to come back.
So, don t care about the 15 minutes bullsh-t meeting.
