Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

HGAS and SST integration is a mess

No proper strategy except to let go of people and to treat the rest like cr-p. I hate it here.

HGAS is near death. Monumentally poor leadership and strategy of a once great business with huge potential. At this point I would just fully move everything to China and be done, they ain't the best team but they can pass off some reshelled cr@p and make a little more money before the final death knell. The US/EU team in OM, Engineering, HUE and Marketing are a sad crew of leftovers and unqualified new hires rushed in through desperation to meet a quota.....they are doing more damage than good right now. I moved to a competitor and my life has improved 10x, I also discovered just how much of a laughing stock Honeywell has become in the saftey industry.

I was one of the people in HGAS/SST that left earlier this year. From the beginning there was no discussion with the senior leaders of each business; it was just a top down decision which is why most of the experienced leadership left. Goal: smash two businesses together and give no regard to anyone’s thoughts about how it should work. Pure command and control.

Fortunately life outside of Honeywell is night and day different. Likely saved my life getting away from daily useless deadlines and continuous stress.

@3hfz+1kg8d9S6 Just remember JR engineers are brought in for the sole purpose of level-loading the age mix when the RIFS occur. No discrimination suits using the back-handed method. Su(ks for all, but its how the bean counters operate.

@ 3uix+1kg8d9S6. Oh that makes sense. They let go of people they just hired in the summer for additional roles they approved and added. That is disgraceful and it’s disgusting that they get away with it.

Looks like a divestiture move. Merge some remotely related product lines, proclaim loudly how they are "connected", get a consultant to come up with a catchy new name and spin off or sell the new group.
