Due to medical conditions, I submitted a work accommodation regarding my remote status since after 60 (YES 60) applications internally in the last 3 years came to nothing. They basically denied it saying I was already a remote employee and it was unnecessary to document the request.
I later had an interview with a recruiter about a position and he said they were only accepting on-site applicants. I mentioned my accommodation request and he held his ground. At the time it seemed like a friendly enough conversation, but I always give people the benefit of the doubt. I shouldn't have, because his parting comment was, "Okay, now you can go back to watching television or cooking dinner..."
Remote employees THAT is how USAA looks at you.
