Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

If the bosses read this forum, they'd panic

The execs should really take a look at all the posts on here. Half of us are talking about how much we hate it and are looking for other jobs. When your entire workforce is trying to escape, that's a pretty big sign you're doing something wrong.

I read about regulatory action.

I worked within a business function at BNY. When our department began exhibiting systematic failures with compliance regulations the easiest fix was to end visits from BNY auditors. For both 2024 and 2025, BNY ignored a departments routine compliance and business failures.

BNY employs a number of persons in leadership rolls: be it low-level, mid-level, senior-level... that really have no idea what they are doing and are hanging onto whatever they can until the jig is up. Which is why leadership protects leadership... until they have to sell each other out. A number of leaders are clueless.

OP,why would the EC change their mind based on a random vent board on the internet ,they won’t..the only thing they will respond to is a regulatory action, stock price hit or anything that damages their reputation..they are not normal folks, they are ruthless

They WANT people to leave. People leave, they can pay someone else a lower salary.

@b3 you’re 💯 correct. this forum isnt going to make them change anything just like the surveys dont. Its going to take employees turning them in to their states EEOC office to have things reviewed to determine if an investigation is needed for that to happen. I already know some who started that process but it needs to be on a much bigger scale to get attention on whats happening here. Even news medias need to be contacted to see if someone can shine a light on whats happening here. Going as far as falsifying performance ratings is enough to make mouths drop and that needs to be in the spot light to get RV and the other crooked Ex GS mgmt investigated. RV was part of an investigation at GS a few years ago and it needs to happen again

@b3 they ecstatic about people leaving, don't be fooled.

Finance teams should be decimated first, they provide no guidance, just deliver #'s.

I know for fact they are very aware of this forum and do read it. So the fact that they haven’t changed how they treat theirs employees should tell you all you need to know.

Oh bosses read this forum, many add to it and laugh and cry along with it! It's the EC members that matter. The unstated corporate goal is to flush the system and get rid of costly labor and ship jobs offshore or replace with AI. The EC knows current and former associates are not happy with the strategic realignment planning and execution. It's just disappointing we are witness to what has become accepted, irresponsible stewardship and destroyed a once healthy culture. #ECThrivesTogether

Actually, they’d love it. They hope we are all miserable enough to quit so they don’t have to pay severance or unemployment. Then the “digital employees” or Pune will take over for us. That is the end goal, isn’t it?
