Let's see how this plays out.

If he comes in and acts like another cost-cutting operator, the RTO mandate will trigger a mass exodus. He needs to convince us that the pain (RTO, restructuring) has a purpose: building a modern AI powerhouse, not just squeezing the last drop of profit out of old software.
He needs to signal that while "presence" is required, he will not treat us like schoolchildren. And say things like "I value outcomes over badge swipes." IBM is famous for "Output-based" management. If he brings that culture—focusing on what you delivered rather than where you sat—he can de-escalate the tension.
And for people with RSUs, he needs to issue a Turnaround Grant (new stock options priced at the current low) to key talent. This resets the financial incentive. “If we fix this together, you win big." Without this, top talent will leave for companies where the stock is rising.
Aymwn has a unique opportunity to play the "Good Cop," but he must thread a needle between the Board's demands and the workforce's anger.
@cf Yeah, OT took away my bonus (and reduced my vacation) when they bought me from MF. Not going to happen now.
@cf are you high?
Maybe we should give him a chance.
Maybe he will recognize all the suffering of employees and start out by offering everyone a bonus if we meet our goals.
@a2 , Sorry, the clowns are still here.
If Steve Rai and Antoun don't mesh quickly in April, rumors of a CFO search will start by summer.
Another bland functionary. He'll fit right in.
Stock doing well 😂😂😂
@ak if that is the case they will only buy the products under Shannon and sell off all the products under Muhi. IBM does not need Document Management (ECM).
@a4 makes me wonder if OT is being acquired by IBM. We'll know if all of a sudden we see processes being changed internally.
@a8 wonder if Ayman will recruit Silvano Sansoni who left IBM in November….

Ayman Antoun comes from the same General Manager lineage as Silvano Sansoni. This confirms that his instinct will be to empower a "Digital Sales" leader at OpenText to build a wall between customers and human negotiators.
Maybe his total compensation of around $13M that's why.
All public information in SEC documents, based salary+bonus+stock
I was laid off last year (Apri 2025), and it amazes me that these tu-ds at the top just keep getting passed around from tech giant to tech giant. All they bring with them is their past failures, ready to ki-l off another brand. Not even realizing the REAL cost to workers and their families. Good luck to all of my OT friends!
He will be completely dismantling the old revenue engine. All will change in April. Focus on "Agentic AI," cloud modernization, and divesting "non-core" assets. Muhi’s part of the business will be sold off or will die.
Wow, that seems like a questionable choice.
I doubt OTEX was unable to find anyone good. Why would anyone agree to captain a irreparably damaged ship with a cargo of mostly scrap, that is getting rid of competent crew?
Check out his linkedin interests.
I have severe doubts about a CEO who has a politician and an IBM CEO as his top voices.
@a2 yes IBM has been shining example of how to run a company right?
I feel cautiously optimistic, i think the circus is finally over? Let's get back to creating great products!
Oh cr-p. It's not a tech guru.
