Now they are talking about firing, not layoffs anymore. Wellsfargo is super toxic.

@am you are obviously uneducated about the process. Terminations due to things like attendance and poor performance DO NOT stop unemployment. When you term an employee and they file for unemployment, the company can try and fight it. But in those instances won’t win. Now someone who falsified notes in the SOR will result in unemployment being denied. As someone else said some states have local laws that prevent that.
Don’t stress out. I found this message board a couple weeks ago when I got my IM review. I check in every now and then, not for knowledge, but to see what bullsh-t random WF “employees” are spewing here.
Just remember that forums like this are not filled with top performers, front office producers, valued employees, etc. It’s full of mid and back office folks whose job is likely 75% useless and these people probably slack all the time, hence the amount of negative misinformation and fear-mongering daily.
They want to pull you down to their unstable, erratic emotional level.
Yep fired for cause if not meeting in office requirement. You get IM even if on a medical accommodation
@bx Same! It's stressing me out!
@bx Same, the toxic h3llhole marches on
Gotta stop reading this place as someone who got tagged with IM after never getting one before…
More daily fear mongering as usual.
Getting let go was best thing that could have happened to me. Got an extended, paid vacation. Loaded-up some severance and bonus $$ into the bank. Found not too bad of a new job. And if I hadn't been let go I wouldn't have started the IRA that is pulling in very nice returns.
@a2 I’m sure each state has its own rules around unemployment with that said I believe if you are died for performance you will be eligible for unemployment. Typically unemployment is denied if you are fired for things such as stealing, ethics etc and even theses things have to be t documented in order for the company to not have to pay out unemployment benefits.
@am They pay unemployment tax no matter what. It's based on wages paid, not those who are unemployed.
ChatGPT can explain you what’s the difference between firing with cause vs layoffs. Huge difference.
Don’t fcking trust the managers here on this board. They are fcking liars.
@aa this is not true. Firing DOES deny unemployment insurance claim. Wellsfargo like to fire employees with cause so that they do need to pay for severance + unemployment insurance.
@aa I meant ratings grrrrrr
@a2 No. Manager with tons of years. Performance firings will not prevent unemployment benefits. It has to be ethical or code of conduct or regulatory related to result in that.
It is so sad for all who stayed. I hate it for you. Firing vs layoff. I don’t mean you’re d-mb. I mean it is awful. Their lies about strategy and hubs. Those who moved to hubs! Now facing IM or efficiency cuts. It’s a kick in the you know what.
I was told and I am not sure if this is true…
If you are fired for poor performance WF can deny any unemployment. They can claim it is due to insubordination.
