Thread regarding Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) layoffs

700 Laid Off

Dun & Bradstreet terminated more than 700 people today, 1/27/2026. They eliminated jobs across all US based business units, all titles, all the way up to SVP.

They have consolidated sales teams and instituted double digit growth goals even though they grew at low single digits in 2025.

Private equity takeover ruins everything and always eliminated jobs.

I can not confirm the #700 but it feels about right. I was a senior manager and I was let go as was my boss and many others. I hate to see anybody lose their job, including myself, but that was a very toxic culture there. Hopefully all get better new jobs and move on. Stay positive and focused for our next roles.

I can confirm random dismissals without consideration of overall performance or necessity for the company. More than 100 employees are on the final list across all departments.

Goodbye growth! I think that, regardless of the consequences, the wrong horse is being backed here and core competencies are being neglected in the long term.

PE greedheads have milked this poor cow twice now in the past several years with two round trips-from public to private and private to public to private again. A few more years and the carcass will be just bones and some desiccated remnants of skin.

Confirmed. My SVP and team was terminated today. Headquarters and people with fake chief antiquated architect titles in Jacksonville are next. Irish Potato AI to replace half of do nothing people at HQ.

Yes this is legit, I've heard numbers a bit less than 700 though but that is just off of rumor and is not confirmed. Some entire financial and audit teams out of Jax are gone like that. Not to be pessimistic, however nobody is truly safe. AI computer software still heavily tracking everyone (at least US employees), the clicks, keystroke and emails sent etc.

@c1 I'm from Europe, but I know one of my US teammates was fired yesterday. I haven't heard from anyone else yet.

Can anyone confirm this? In Europe we have no news of this and honestly it feels like this site as source of info is used now just to upset people.
