My manager pulled me into a last minute meeting with zero context and kept a straight face the whole time. It turned out to be small talk, but my nerves were shot for hours after. Do they not realize how on edge all of us are?

@a4 true. i left in the 2023 wave after 10 years with T. constant anxiety, developing health problems. all for naught. i started my new job the day after my last day at T. i can't believe I didn't leave sooner! it's almost like the severance wasn't worth it but i also couldn't just leave money behind. thankfully i knew my last day and had a job lined up for the following day. sad to hear it's still like that a few years later.
that and the fear of losing my job. But you know, Bob, that will only make someone work just hard enough not to get fired.
Fear is AT&T's only we-pon. You choose to be afraid. Fear goes away when you have the confidence to know that you are hirable. Fear thrives when you are paid too much for the value you provide.
Do not worry .You are in the office. That's already a strong position.
probably stack ranking and you were just reviewed
It'd be great if they fired me!
This is how they want you to feel. That’s what the culture here is. That’s why we’re at the bottom of culture and best places to work rankings
