My heart goes out to everyone who was let go last week. With the economy and job market like this, I don't think the timing could be worse. The company's disregard for people's lives is shocking and cruel.

What layoffs? I did not hear of anyone. What divisions departments?
This company was laying people off during COVID and the worst days of the Great Recession. This is small hat. You are always a cost center at UHG. Their goal is to pay you as long as needed before optimizing you out of accounts payable.
