Has anyone sought legal advice regarding expats not receiving severance if they decline their job offer? It seems unreasonable to force someone to relocate to a new city. I know the company’s stance is assumed mobility but do external lawyers agree with that?

Get a lawyer, best few hundred bucks you will ever spend in your life.
I’d like to know the answer to that question as well. I still haven’t received an offer, and I assume I’m going to be offered “early retirement”. But, if they make me an offer, especially to a location outside of Alberta, I will be investigating that.
